1 day ago · Hundreds of family, friends, and uniformed pilots and flight attendants on Wednesday, Feb. 5 celebrated the life of 53-year-old Ian Epstein at The Chabad Center for Jewish Life. Epstein was one of the PSA Airlines crew members on Flight 5342 who was killed in the tragic mid-air collision with a Black Hawk helicopter in Washington, D.C., on Jan. 29.

Ian was preceded in death by his parents, Stanley and Deborah Slapcoff Epstein, and will be forever remembered by his family and friends. A celebration of Ian’s life will be held at Chabad Center for Jewish Life in Charlotte, NC on Wednesday, February 5, 2025 at 2:00 PM. Burial at Hebrew Cemetery will be private.
