The Governor has called for a special session of the Florida Legislature to convene on January 27th, 2025, and to address the following issues: combatting illegal immigration, condominium regulation, agricultural relief in response to natural disasters, replenishing the My Safe Florida Home program, and the citizens’ initiative petition process.

Today, Governor Ron DeSantis directed Florida law enforcement to enter into additional Memoranda of Agreement with the U.S. Department of Homeland Security’s U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) to execute functions of immigration enforcement within the state.
