Nov 15, 2020 · Couldn't really find reviews so here's mine. I've had hot chicken in Nashville probably 100 times so I feel qualified. Idk why there isn't a proper hot chicken place here, seems like the perfect market. Got the two tender plate combo, hot, with Mac n cheese and fries. Quality of chicken was fine, massive juicy pieces. The finish wasn't right.

but it's worth the Uber ride up West end to go to Red's Hot Chicken. Get the hot chicken crunchwrap. It won Red the 2021 title for hot chicken week winner. You will not be disappointed if you go to Red's. It's pretty much at the corner of 27th and West end. If you insist on staying downtown then underground has good hot chicken.

I’m a Boltons stan & the real tip is that their hot catfish sammach is better than any hot chicken. Controversial opinion maybe but that’s the one meal I’d miss the most if I ever moved away from here. One catfish sammach w one medium hot chicken on a stick gets er done.

This article has a picture of Bill Purcell’s TN State Resolution which names “Princes Hot Chicken” the best restaurant in Tennessee in 1996. I think Prince’s changed the name from Prince’s BBQ Chicken Shack to Prince’s Hot Chicken in the 80’s.
