Jan 16, 2023 · The " old MGK" wore a kilt just to piss people off. He has changed not just with age but with each album cycle he creates a new "character" to play. But this time i feel like we are getting the "real" MGK or we are actually seeing Colson emerge and the created persona of " MGK" is finally starting to be shed. Real fans, we weren't surprised.

Mar 26, 2020 · Rapping fast is how he got the nickname which he later turned into his stage name. It has nothing to do whether he is rapping or doing vocals. "Machine Gun Kelly" is just a stage name and that's it. But if you're referring to social media handles etc. he's been to referring to himself as Colson every so often for a good decade.

Colson said many years ago that one of his goals was for people to know his real name. However, I agree…I think he is beginning to rethink the names and that MGK is “the whole band” so to speak. And that he is Colson who contributes to the band as lead singer and writer etc.

There's legal documents for him that do indeed list him as "Richard Baker" and those don't get their info off Wikipedia, they go off identity information. It is true that he now goes by Colson and has legally had his name changed to just "Colson Baker" but to say his name was never Richard is objectively not true.

Feb 7, 2023 · I love MGK and I'm not even a little bit ashamed. Imho, his Armchair episode is one of the very best. Dax was on point with his questions and ability to relate to his guests and I think MGK was able to get comfortable, drop the character, and be more Colson Baker as a result. Episodes like this are what made me love the show from the start.
