Sep 18, 2007 · Yupo paper is made in layers. Masking tape may remove the top layer if it is used to tape the paper to a support. A better way is to tape the paper just under the corners. You canuse plastic wrap the same way you do on regular watercolor paper. However, it takes a long time to dry underneath especially if the paint is thick and wet.

Aug 26, 2010 · I’d like to do a painting (on watercolour paper, or illustration board) that uses acrylic paint very sparingly for certain flat/opaque/dark valued areas; and the rest of the areas in watercolour to achieve nice light to mid-range glazing/glowing effects. Would you paint the acrylic/opaque parts first, before any watercolour underpainting goes on?

Glassine (acid-free) should only ever be used for short-term storage purposes (less than 30 days) and/or when artwork is being shipped to a cooler climate.

Sep 4, 2009 · This has been confirmed to me by two professional artists. On the other hand, I’m not sure, how watercolour reacts on oil painting paper. But as the one I have (Hahnemühle Oil and Acrylic Paint Block – fineart – blue series) is usable for oil and acrylic, it should work, because acrylic paint is also water based (just as watercolour paint).
