Attorneys in our Eastern Region - supported by investigators, victim witness advocates, technicians, and clerical staff - prosecute all felony and misdemeanor crimes committed in the Eastern region of Riverside County.

Victim Services is a division of the Riverside County District Attorney’s Office designated to ensure victims are informed and supported throughout the criminal justice process. Victim Services Specialists work closely with prosecutors and are specially trained and educated to help children, elders, disabled persons and violent crime victims.

The deputy district attorneys provide representation for victims and family members of victims of crimes at Board of Parole Hearings where an inmate has been sentenced to prison for life with the possibility of parole.

The Bureau of Investigation supports the prosecutorial and law enforcement endeavors of the District Attorney. We are committed to protecting victims and their rights, while finding the truth and upholding justice through innovation and investigative excellence.

These Deputy District Attorneys prosecute all the adult misdemeanors committed in Riverside County. The Misdemeanor Teams handle misdemeanor cases from arraignment through trial. Misdemeanor prosecutors face the challenge of prosecuting a high-volume caseload consisting of a wide variety of cases.

Michael A. Hestrin was elected as Riverside County District Attorney in June 2014 and sworn in to serve in this capacity on January 5, 2015. He was re-elected to a third term in 2022 and continues to hold the position of Riverside County District Attorney.

The Riverside County District Attorney’s Office is filled with experienced Deputy District Attorneys who provide a public service to the community. Our office’s Paralegal Volunteer Program offers unpaid student internships and volunteer opportunities at all our office locations countywide.
