For the second time this year, Southern Californians are evacuating their homes as heavy rain threatens new destruction in areas still recovering from last month’s devastating wildfires.

The biggest winter storm to hit Southern California so far this season has increased the risk of mudslides and debris flows in the neighborhoods burned by wildfires in January.

Solano and Yolo counties are under a flood warning which was issued by the National Weather Service on Friday at 8:58 a.m. The warning is in effect until further notice.
