A death investigation is underway in Cobb County after police said they found a woman’s body in a home Monday afternoon.

Cobb County police conducted a welfare check on Evian Way near Kennesaw and discovered a deceased woman inside a home. The cause of the woman's death is currently unknown. Authorities have stated that there is no danger to the public at this time. The investigation is ongoing.

Patrol officers went to the area of Evian Way to conduct a welfare check. When they arrived, police said officers found a woman dead inside of a residence.
