The Board of Mayor and Aldermen approved a lease agreement for property downtown to build a new parking area during the board meeting Monday night.

The children’s center is located behind the Sevierville Community Center. The 7,050-square-foot, $2.1 million addition includes a half-court gym, an activity area, office space and a kitchen.
