However, MNPD confirmed the chaos was linked to a fight inside the popular mall, causing a rushed mass exodus of the building. MNPD and Nashville Fire remain on the scene investigating.

The mall was closed according to police. Both the northbound and southbound exits to Opry Mills from Briley Parkway were also closed, said Erin Zeigler of the Tennessee Department of Transportation.
