When deputies arrived, they found a man, later identified as Douglas Machado Coka, lying dead in the front yard of a home. The sheriff’s office says details surrounding the incident are unknown.

The property, which developers purchased in 2012, includes the Galleria and the now-demolished Valley View site. The city first considered linking the Galleria area and Valley View in 2013.
