“Currently the Mackinac Bridge is closed to all traffic due to hazardous ice falling from the bridge cables and towers,” the MBA said this morning. “There is no expected schedule for reopening. When conditions improve, the bridge will be reopened to traffic.”

The Mackinac Bridge has closed again because of ice falling off the suspension bridge that connects both of Michigan's peninsulas via Interstate 75. Mackinaw City Police Department issued a notice to the public at 9 a.

The Mackinac Bridge Authority said the falling ice warning on the bridge has been cleared and wished travelers a safe and pleasant trip.
