A couple of local high school softball teams held their first of two scheduled meetings of the spring season on Monday as Grosse Ile made the trip over to New Boston Huron for a Huron League matchup.

All traffic will be detoured around the Grosse Ile Parkway Bridge for several weeks, Wayne County officials report.
