A Connecticut mother allegedly held her severely emaciated stepson in captivity for decades in “something out of a horror movie” before he set a fire in their home to escape the “inhumane” and hellish conditions,

Kimberly Sullivan allegedly managed to keep her stepson locked up for years in 'inhumane' conditions, before he regained his freedom with a clever plan.

"He lit that fire very well knowing he could die, but he had been locked in the room for 20 years," prosecutors said during Kimberly Sullivan's arraignment
