The fancy vivid yellow diamond, known as the New Sun, is 100-carats and is described as having a rich honey golden colour. It was created from a 236-carat rough discovered in Yakutia in 2020.
A remarkable collection of fancy colour diamonds is on display at the Smithsonian’s National Museum of Natural History after a generous donation.
