The United Kingdom appears set to host the 2035 Women's World Cup after FIFA President Gianni Infantino on Thursday described its interest as the "one valid bid" for the tournament.

While FIFA is scheduled to announce Women's World Cup hosts next year, the organization's president said the U.S. is alone in its bid for 2031.

ESPN's Emily Keogh noted Thursday that FIFA president Gianni Infantino said the United States is in line to host the 2031 event. What's more, the United Kingdom will host the tournament in 2035 thanks to a joint bid from England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland.
