Even though it all started with Batman Arkham Asylum, there are fundamentally no side quests in the first game, with Rockstar only starting to include side quests from Arkham City onwards.

The jump from Asylum to City may have been drastic, but a jump from Batman: Arkham Shadow to its potential sequel shouldn't need to be.
