The Animal Haven had been sheltering a large, strong dog named “Sarge” since last July. While he is known to pull on his leash when walking, the dog never previously showed aggression.

Animal Haven is a non-profit shelter and home to a dog named Sarge. The shelter released a statement saying Sarge jumped at a volunteer and “savagely mauled her face” without provocation.
