A Talladega County jury deliberated for about half an hour Tuesday before finding Michael Dewayne Cook, 61, of Sylacauga not guilty of first degree assault.

Scattered storms are moving across Alabama Thursday night, bringing with them the threat of large hail, possibly up to golf ball size.

Thursday will be an "Impact Day” because some scattered storms move through the state in the afternoon and evening.
