Vanderbilt baseball dropped out of the top 10 of the polls after losing a series at Ole Miss. The Rebels (31-13, 12-9 SEC) won their latest SEC series 2-1 at home against Vanderbilt (31-13, 12-9). Even though the final game of the series was a 13-0 run-rule loss, Ole Miss' series win combined with an 8-7 victory in the Governor's Cup against Mississippi State to make for a winning weekend.

Despite a rule-run defeat in the last game of the series vs Vanderbilt, Ole Miss baseball was able to shake off the doldrums of the past few weeks.
