LeBron James says he spent two days in disbelief after the Los Angeles Lakers traded away Anthony Davis, his close friend and teammate for 5 1/2 years.

According to NBA insider Chris Haynes, LeBron James will remain with the Los Angeles Lakers after the Anthony Davis–Luka Doncic trade. The Lakers traded Davis to the Dallas Mavericks for Doncic. LeBron has a no-trade clause in his contract.

The Los Angeles Lakers sought offensive help on the perimeter. Instead of making a deal around the margins with minimal impact, the two teams orchestrated a blockbuster trade that sends forward-center and 10-time All-Star Anthony Davis to the Mavericks and five-time All-NBA guard Luka Doncic to the Lakers in a three-team deal involving the Utah Jazz.
