The Williams FW47 has been unveiled at Silverstone and there are already encouraging signs with some of the changes made over winter.

Williams has unveiled its 2025 Formula 1 car in a one-off livery at a launch event at Silverstone. All ten teams have agreed to keep their race liveries under wraps until F1's season launch event in London on Feb. 18, meaning Williams opted to present the new FW47 in an interim colour scheme for its private Silverstone event.

The Formula 1 season may be weeks away, but the 2025 campaign kicked off unofficially on Friday when Williams unveiled the FW47, their challenger for this year, at Silverstone. Drivers Alexander Albon and Carlos Sainz Jr.

Williams have revealed their 2025 F1 challenger, the FW47, at a promotional event at Silverstone. The Grove-based squad launched their new car with a one-off livery ahead of the F1 75 Live event on Tuesday.

Williams provided a sneak peek of its 2025 Formula 1 car, the FW47, on Friday following an initial shakedown test at the Silverstone Circuit in the U.K.

Sainz, who has joined Williams after making way for Lewis Hamilton at Ferrari, completed a single installation lap before returning to the garage. And his initial feedback was encouraging as the Spaniard reported that “everything went fine” on his brief run.

Today, the first car unveiling event took place in the 2025 season, as Williams were in Silverstone to present their FW47. Lando Norris has sent a warning to Max Verstappen, and Maximiliam Gunther could win the first ePrix of the weekend in Jeddah.
