There is an 'agreement' between Tottenham and Mathys Tel that gives the player power to veto a summer move to Spurs - even if the club activate his option to buy, according to a top source.

Aston Villa have signed centre-back Axel Disasi from Chelsea on loan for the rest of the season. Tottenham had also reportedly been in discussions with the French defender on deadline day before he made the switch to Villa Park. Villa had been looking to sign a new centre-back after Diego Carlos’s departure to Fenerbahce in January.

Axel Disasi has joined Aston Villa from Chelsea on loan for the rest of the season. The Midlands giants will pay a loan fee of around £5million for the defender after holding off competition from Tottenham. Spurs were considering a move for the defender too, although they were put off by Chelsea’s loan fee.
