LaFollette School, Fernwood Montessori and Starms Early Childhood Education center have all been closed since March 17.

Three Milwaukee Public Schools buildings have been closed since March 17 due to lead hazards, displacing students and staff.

Some children were exposed to lead and investigators found flaking paint inside aging schools. Two federal experts, expected to help guide the response, have lost their jobs.
