Police said a male victim was brought to the hospital with a gunshot wound around 1:30 a.m. on Sunday, Feb 2. Before the shooting happened, the victim and another person were attending the party and walked outside.

BATON ROUGE, La. (Louisiana First) — The Baton Rouge Police Department has arrested a man connected to a deadly shooting that happened in 2022. Police identified Joseph Jacobs, 31, as a suspect after 21-year-old Frederick Harris was shot in the 1800 block of Birch Street on March 28, 2022. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Melvin Robinson, Jr., 33, of Baton Rouge was charged with second-degree murder. D’Shawn Brown, 22, was killed in the shooting. Brown was found near his vehicle at the McDonald’s, located at 6910 Airline Highway, BRPD said.
