FIRST ALERT WEATHER DAY: Winter Storms and Flooding
HAZARD, Ky. (WYMT) - A system is moving through the region this morning that will continue to bring heavy rain and snow across Eastern Kentucky.
First Alert Weather Day: Localized flooding, possible severe storms this week
THE NEXT BIG THING will be the possibility of another First Alert Weather Day for a severe weather threat this weekend. The good news is we will have a nice break in the rain for Valentine’s Day. In fact, some areas could see lows near freezing early on Friday, with a good supply of sunshine, and highs in the 60s.
A few flurries today; all eyes on Wednesday’s First Alert Weather Day for more snow
Highs will reach 23 degrees today, though Flint could be three or four degrees warmer than that. The wind will be light and variable. The normal high for February 11th is 31 degrees. Outside of any of the snow showers this morning, conditions will be dry with just mostly cloudy skies.
FIRST ALERT: Winter Storm on the way for tomorrow
ROCKFORD, Ill. (WIFR) - A few flurries this morning then limited sunshine later today with highs in the middle 20’s. Middle teens tonight and mostly cloudy. Snow begins tomorrow 7-8AM. Snow continues through the day with accumulations when all said and done 4 - 8″. We could see another snow event Friday/Saturday.
First Alert Weather: Multiple rounds of rain bring a flooding threat to the Midstate
Another round of widespread and heavy rain will develop and move through the Midstate on Saturday. We’ll also have the chance for a few strong thunderstorms as well during the day. Right now, the focus will still be on flooding, but we are going to continue watch for any potential for severe thunderstorms.
