A Lee’s Summit man could spend more than a dozen years in federal prison after stolen firearms were found in the back of his pickup during a 2022 crash in Independence.

Calvin Stokes was arraigned Tuesday and ordered held without bail pending a dangerousness hearing on April 28, according to the Suffolk District Attorney’s office.

The case of two teens accused of a double homicide that happened in south Redding in October 2024 is moving forward.
