Technically, market analysts advise traders to maintain a sell on rise strategy for the Nifty 50 index until a clear reversal or a retest of the 22,100 support level occurs.

Indian benchmark indices, Sensex and Nifty, opened lower on Friday, pressured by IT stocks, as weak global cues and U.S. President Donald Trumps broad tariff announcements stoked fears of a global recession.

The trends on Gift Nifty also point to a gap-down start for the Indian benchmark index. The Gift Nifty was trading at roughly 23,201, nearly 125 points lower than the previous close of the Nifty futures.
