But it’s a two-way partnership. The League-Kempner House, 1702 Broadway, is under renovation to restore it to its 1893 roots.

Following a Jan. 13 meeting when the Dare County Board of Education approved the decision, the Manteo High School gym was named after Stephen Basnight Jr. on Feb. 3.
