GMA cites "sources familiar with the matter" for the new information. It said that a group inside GM, no doubt passionate enthusiasts, had worked up a plan for a new Camaro. The team even had support from some executives as it tried to build the business case for a Camaro 7.

Some people at GM want to green-light the seventh-generation Camaro, but people with more power apparently aren't convinced.

The internal group tasked with making the next-gen Chevy Camaro's business case reportedly couldn't get the numbers to add up, so upper management shut it down.
