Our weather starts off quiet this weekend, with dry weather early on Saturday, but that will quickly be changing. Snow develops during the morning and will continue off and on into the afternoon and evening.

Saturday is a First Alert 6 Weather Day due to the accumulating snow impacts to morning and early afternoon travel.

Rain will start to push through in the early morning hours of your Saturday, then it will become more widespread and heavy as we head into the afternoon hours. Some places will get a little bit of a break Saturday night before it ramps up again for the day on Sunday.

CBS News Texas meteorologists have issued First Alert Weather days for Feb. 17-19 for two main reasons. First, there is a possibility of rain mixing with sleet or snow from Tuesday afternoon into Wednesday morning.

The First Alert Weather Team says a Valentine’s date this weekend will be breezy and rather cool with temperatures in the upper 50s to low 60s.
