The fire near the El Paso airport Tuesday afternoon was reportedly caused by a vehicle explosion. The incident is under investigation.

A fire broke out at a transportation center next to the international airport in El Paso, Texas, on Tuesday, injuring five people and sending a large tower of black smoke billowing over the city on the U.

KFOX14 reports that a vehicle exploded, possibly inside the Sun Metro center, near the El Paso International Airport. EPFD said people evacuated the area and no injuries have been reported so far as first responders are still assessing the scene. Traffic is closed in the area of Montana Avenue and Wedgewood Drive.
