Clayton Kershaw underwent two offseason surgeries after being sidelined in August because of a bone spur in his toe.

Although the Dodgers have a full rotation, Kershaw’s continued recovery is excellent news for the World Series favorites. Kershaw is only two seasons removed from posting a 2.46 ERA and 3.7 bWAR — his best since 2017 — across 24 starts.

Today will mark the first time since last season that Kershaw has faced hitters, as he’ll take part in a live batting practice session prior to the Dodgers’ game with the Tigers.
