CBP One was launched in 2020, allowing foreign vendors to schedule cargo inspections. In 2023 the Biden administration expanded its functions to include unauthorized migrants seeking asylum. This Monday, on Inauguration Day, an order from Donald Trump put an end to the program, and thousands of scheduled appointments were canceled.

The Trump administration Monday ended use of a border app called CBP One that has allowed nearly 1 million people to legally enter the United States with eligibility to work.

President Trump pulled the plug on CBP One app leaving many migrants, many waiting for months in Mexico, finding new ways to seek asylum.

The CBP One app was set up under the Biden administration to create an orderly way for migrants to enter the U.S. and to reduce illegal border crossings.
