RAPID CITY, S.D. — Results are beginning to come in from the June 3 Rapid City Municipal and School Board Election. There were three contested elections for the City Council and two for the RCAS School Board. NewsCenter1 will bring you up to date results as we receive them. Projected winners are represented in bold.
Mayor Paul TenHaken, for example, was elected in a 2018 election that saw 30.50% voter turnout. But last April, with four city council seats on the ballot, the city saw a record low 7.70% turnout, which TenHaken has at times called "abysmal" and "embarrassing."
