Former Florida Gators Defensive End and ex-NFL player Earl James Okine was arrested during a traffic stop in Alachua County, according to the sheriff’s office.
According to Kevin Brockway of The Gainesville Sun, former Florida Gators defensive lineman Earl Okine was arrested on Wednesday night. Okine has charges on him related to drugs and weapons after being stopped by a police officer.
Earl James Okine, 35, of Tampa, was arrested last night in Gainesville on drug and firearm charges; he is a former defensive end for the Gators who played in the NFL and several other professional football leagues and now lives in Tampa.
