South Carolina head women's basketball coach Dawn Staley got heat from one analyst after her Gamecocks lost to UConn in the national championship game.

South Carolina has taken transfers frequently during Staley’s tenure. Some of the Gamecocks’ recent hits in the portal: center Kamilla Cardoso, who came from Syracuse, and Paopao, who came from Oregon. Both won national championships. Naturally, South Carolina has an excellent recruiting pitch for transfers.
