The Texas Rangers activated one of their young sluggers off the 10-day injured list on Tuesday, as expected. The Rangers brought back third baseman Josh Jung, who was on the IL with neck spasm, in advance of Tuesday’s game with the Chicago Cubs.

Texas Rangers third baseman Josh Jung was activated from the 10-day injured list on Tuesday after being sidelined because of neck spasms. Jung batted seventh against the Chicago Cubs in his first appearance since leaving Texas' win over Boston on March 28.

The baseball gods giveth and the baseball gods taketh away. A day after Rangers third baseman Josh Jung returned from an IL stint due to neck spasms, outfielder Wyatt Langford was placed on the 10-day injured list with a Grade 1 right oblique strain.

Langford (oblique) is not in the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Cubs. Langford had to be removed from Tuesday's contest with right oblique tightness. There's no word yet on the results of an MRI on Lanford's side,

In comes Josh Jung, out goes Langford, one of the Rangers’ only consistent hitters in the season’s early going.
