Jayson Tatum appears to be in good spirits after undergoing surgery on his ruptured Achilles, giving fans a thumbs up in his first social media post since Monday's devastating injury.

Jayson Tatum took to Instagram on Wednesday to share his first words since he ruptured his Achilles tendon. “Thankful for all the love and support,” the Boston Celtics star captioned the photo of him in a hospital bed giving a thumbs up with his right leg heavily casted.

The Celtics will be noticeably short-handed, as they will be without their All-NBA forward Jayson Tatum. Tatum went down in the closing minutes of Game 4 with a non-contact injury, later deemed to be a ruptured Achilles.
