Forward Jesper Bratt can extend his point streak to nine games when the Devils (31-20-6) host the Stars (35-18-2). The New Jersey forward has 12 points (two goals, 10 assists) on an eight-game streak. Dallas is second in the Central Division, two points ahead of the Minnesota Wild.

Ovechkin is on the verge of becoming the NHL's all-time goals leader, and he can pass Gretzky's mark of 894 before the end of season. The Capitals standout currently has 879 career goals, so he needs to rack up 16 more goals in the team's remaining 27 games in order to top Gretzky's record this season.

The NHL season resumes with 14 games on Saturday and 10 more Sunday with every team in action at least once this weekend coming out of the break for the massively successful 4 Nations Face-Off. The puck drops for the playoffs on April 19.
