In response to the ongoing flooding in Harney County, Governor Kotek has declared a State of Emergency and directed the Oregon Department of Emergency Management to activate the state’s Comprehensive Emergency Management Plan to coordinate response efforts across state agencies.
The declaration focuses on Harney County and the Burns Paiute Reservation. Gov. Tina Kotek issued a similar order for other parts of Southern Oregon on March 18.
