A new leak claims that Samsung could make up for its delayed One UI 7 release by rolling out One UI 8 sooner than anticipated.

Samsung has been dragging its feet with the One UI 7 release this year, leaving many of its fans frustrated. Although the Galaxy S25 series launched with One UI 7, older Samsung Galaxy phones are still waiting for a stable version to be delivered to their devices.

Samsung has long been referred to around these parts as the “King of Android Updates” because of their long-term commitment to device support, steady delivery of monthly patches, and their quickness at delivering major Android OS updates even with their heavy One UI skin

Samsung could release One UI 7 Beta 5 in March 2025, followed by Beta 6 in April, before launching the stable version to the public.

While no specific date was provided, Ice Universe claims Samsung's Android 16-based update could arrive sooner than expected, offering some respite following the long wait for One UI 7. Samsung is expected to roll out One UI 7 to devices like the Galaxy S24 series by April,

Google has already started the Android 16 beta for its Pixel devices. One UI 7 is set to bring significant new features and improvements to Samsung’s custom OS. These include a dynamic “Now Bar” widget on the lock screen, a redesigned quick panel, and enhanced home screen elements.

Samsung is in the midst of rolling out its February 2025 update to Galaxy smartphones and tablets, but it's not One UI 7.
