Quarterback Sam Darnold reportedly is signing a three-year deal with the Seattle Seahawks, days after the team traded away Geno Smith and DK Metcalf.

Sam Darnold has agreed to a three-year contract with the Seahawks worth just over $100 million, NFL Media's Ian Rapoport reported citing league sources. Darnold will get $55 million guaranteed in the contract, Rapoport reported, as well as $37.5 million in his first year.

After three days of rumors following Geno Smith’s trade, the Seahawks’ search for his successor ended where most had speculated it would: with Sam Darnold.
