SEOUL, South Korea — A top Russian security official met with North Korean leader Kim Jong Un in Pyongyang on Friday and thanked him for the country’s support of Moscow’s war efforts in Ukraine, according to Russian state media.

A top Russian security official has travelled to North Korea to meet leader Kim Jong Un, after North Korea recently reportedly sent additional troops to Russia to support its war against Ukraine.

Russian President Vladimir Putin's top security adviser Sergei Shoigu has arrived in North Korea and plans to meet its leader Kim Jong Un, the TASS news agency reported on Friday, his latest visit amid advances in security ties between the countries.

The legislature impeached Han Duck-soo in December, soon after impeaching President Yoon Suk Yeol for declaring martial law. Mr. Yoon’s fate is still unclear.
