Freshman Corri Hicks hit her first home run for the Sooners as OU dispatched of the Mavericks on Tuesday night.

OU dropped its series finale against No. 10 Tennessee on Sunday, 5-3, and dropped a Southeastern Conference series for the first time in school history. The Sooners had beaten South Carolina, Arkansas and Missouri in its first three SEC sets.

The second-ranked OU softball team suffered its first series loss as a member of the SEC with a 5-3 loss to Tennessee on Sunday afternoon at Love’s Field.
