Parson has directed that U.S. and Missouri state flags to be flown at half-staff at those buildings. Flags will fly half-staff in honor of fallen St. Louis police officer David Lee III.

A Missouri House committee is considering legislation that would create a commission to study the state’s official flag. The House Veterans Committee held a public hearing Tuesday on the measure.
