Although we don’t have an official trailer for Mario Kart 9 yet, fans believe the Switch 2 reveal gave us a sneak peek at the game.

Nintendo has released its latest financial data for the third quarter of FY2025 ending on 31st December 2024. As part of that, the company has provided an update to its top ten best-selling Switch games list.

First-party games like Mario Kart and Metroid Prime could be joined by some absolute belters from the likes of Microsoft and Atlus.

Given all of the apparent changes to the Joy-Con Controllers with the Nintendo Switch 2, such as the rumored ability to use them like a PC mouse, a true follow-up to 1-2 Switch could be a very smart way for Nintendo to introduce these new additions to the more casual side of its audience on day one.

The president of Nintendo says Switch sales will continue as long as there’s demand, but dwindling sales suggests that won't be for long.

The biggest takeaway from the Switch 2 reveal last month was that everything about the new console is bigger. Bigger Joy-Con controllers, bigger screen, bigger Mario Kart races. And it sounds like the game cases might be bigger too.

Wind Waker and Twilight Princess, Super Mario Galaxy 2, and Metroid Prime 2 and 3 would be great launch games for Switch 2.
