Prior to joining the Dodgers in 1988, Gibson played for the Tigers for his first nine seasons in the big leagues. He spent 12 of his 17 seasons with the organization. The 67-year old, who is currently a special assistant with Detroit, spent the last 10 seasons as part of their broadcast team.

It’s a new season but the Los Angeles Dodgers are still celebrating their 2024 World Series championship. Rapper Ice Cube rolled up to their dugout in a vintage blue convertible with the Commissioner’s Trophy in the front passenger seat.

Ice Cube performed at Dodger Stadium during pregame festivities, entertaining both Dodgers and opposing players. Joe Davis re-enacted his famous call from Game 1, followed by Kirk Gibson delivering the ceremonial first pitch to Freddie Freeman. LOS ANGELES - Ain't no party like an LA World Series party.
