A new prescribed burn, named Secret 2006, was initiated 8:10 a.m. March 24 in Carson City County. The prescribed fire has been burning on federal land managed by the United States Forest Service for three days. Currently, there are no specifics on the extent of land burned or the size of the crew involved in executing the prescribed fire.
