A pink flower also known as sakura, cherry blossoms grow on trees that originally hailed in Asia and are considered the national flower of Japan. The cultivation of ornamental cherry trees began to spread in Europe and the U.S. in the early 20th century, particularly after Japan presented trees to the U.S. as a token of friendship in 1912.

The arboretum is tucked inside the 22-acre Holmdel Park, and the cherry blossoms are the clear showstoppers. In this garden, you can find different species of cherry blossom trees, especially Yoshino, Sargent, and weeping Higan varieties.
